Pasta with peas and ham

You’ll see what a richer thing is this pasta with peas and ham. The sweet point of peas with salty ham looks fantastic. We will prepare the sauce with our Mycook and the pasta we cook it while in a pot in the traditional way. This way in just over 10 minutes we have our main dish for the meal ready. We accompany a good salad and we already have the food ready for today.

The recipe takes 50 grams of grated cheese, I usually use Parmesan or Grana Padano, but other times I use remains of cured cheeses that I have left in the fridge with an equally good result.

When it comes to salting our preparation take into account that serrano ham already provides enough salt, so try not to pass. If you want you can replace the serrano ham with bacon, or if you want it to be a little softer for the same amount of cooked ham.

  • 320 gr. pasta (macaroni, spirals, spaghetti)
  • 50 gr. Parmesan cheese
  • 100 gr. onion
  • 150 gr. serrano ham in cubes
  • 40 gr. olive oil
  • 120 gr. cooked peas
  • 250 gr. evaporated milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Put the pasta to cook in plenty of boiling salted water according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Cool with cold water, drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooked prepare the sauce in the Mycook.
  3. Put the cheese into pieces into the jar and give two Turbo strokes. Then chop 15 seconds at speed 8. Remove from the pitcher and reserve.
  4. Pour into the jar the onion cut into four pieces and chop 15 seconds at speed 5.
  5. Then place the mixing trowel on the blades.
  6. Add the serrano ham in dicitos and oil. Cook 5 minutes, temperature 110ºC, speed 2.
  7. Add the peas, evaporated milk, grated cheese that we had reserved and salt to taste. Schedule 4 minutes, temperature 100ºC, speed 2.
  8. Pour the sauce over the cooked pasta, mix well and we have it ready to serve.
