Spaghetti with spinach, mushrooms and prawns

These spaghetti with spinach, mushrooms and prawns have been a great option to take advantage of things that I had left in the fridge and freezer. In addition to this way everyone has eaten spinach without protesting too much, as it is not a food that excites them too much.

These days there is nothing but to leave as little as possible from home, in fact I try to leave only once a week and make purchases for us and for my parents. That’s why we have to plan the week well as food is concerned and not be creative and make new dishes with what we have in the fridge and freezer.

I have used spinach and frozen gambites, but if you are lucky enough to be able to put fresh product, then better than better.

Usually I cook the pasta in a traditional way and make the sauce in Mycook to take advantage of the time and the food is ready faster, but this time I cooked the spaghetti in the jar while in the steamer the spinach were steamed.

Ingredients
  • 250 gr. spaghetti
  • 100 gr. shrimp
  • 150 gr. mushrooms
  • 300 gr. frozen spinach
  • 30 gr. olive oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 chili pepper (optional)
  • 250 gr. evaporated milk
  • 20 gr. grated parmesan
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1500 ml of water
Preparation
  1. Place the spinach in the steamer. Book.
  2. Place the mixing paddle on the blades.
  3. Put the water into the jar along with a drizzle of oil and salt to taste. Heat for 8 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 2.
  4. When water warmed to pour spaghetti into a jar. I usually split them in half so they do not stay so rolled in the butterfly and also in this case it facilitates the placement of the steamer because they do not protrude.
  5. Place the steamer on the jar and set 13 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 2.
  6. Then drain the spinach well by placing them in the basket or a colander and pressing well with your hands or a spoon to remove the maximum liquid. Book.
  7. Take out the spaghetti and pass through cold water and let them drain. Book.
  8. Remove the mixing paddle over the blades.
  9. Pour oil and peeled garlic cloves into the jar. Schedule 5 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 1-S.
  10. Add mushrooms and schedule 3 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 2.
  11. Then place the mixing paddle over the blades again.
  12. Enter the shrimps and chopped parsley (If you want to put chili pepper on it, it’s time). Cook 3 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 2.
  13. Finally add spinach, evaporated milk, cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Schedule 5 minutes, temperature 120ºC, speed 2.
  14. We only have to mix the sauce we just prepared with our spaghetti and we have them ready to eat.
Notes
A variation of this recipe if you don’t have prawns may be to replace them with bacon strips or even make a combination of both ingredients.
