Lemon Tiramisu

Tiramisú de limón

Tiramisu is an Italian dessert made from mascarpone cheese, biscuits, coffee and cocoa. This time I wanted to make a variation to the original recipe and have prepared lemon tiramisu, with a mild acidic taste mixed with the sweet mascarpone and the syrup of the biscuits.

This recipe was lighter for me in terms of taste than the original. As main ingredients include mascarpone cheese, egg, sugar, lemon and limoncello syrup.

Ingredients
  • 200 grams of sponge cake type soletilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 450 grams mascarpone
  • juice and zest of one lemon
  • 45 gr. sugar For syrup
  • :
  • 100 gr. limoncello
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • Zest and Juice of two lemons
Preparation
  1. First we separate the whites from the yolks, and assemble these for 4 minutes speed 5 putting on the blades the butterfly and reserve.
  2. Next we clean and dry the jar and grind the sugar for 10 seconds, speed 9.
  3. Then we add the egg yolks, mascarpone, lemon juice and zest, and mix for 30 seconds speed 5, pour everything into a bowl.
  4. Then we gently add the egg whites to the previous preparation, using a spatula and set aside.
  5. We also make the syrup by mixing the lemon juice with the glass sugar and lemoncelum in a bowl.
  6. Finally we put in cups or glasses a layer of wet biscuits in the syrup, a layer of mascarpone and so on.
  7. To finish sprinkle with grated lemon and let cool about 4 hours before serving.
